You will recall that four betas have been pushed out to developers already with the first beta launched in November and this GM will be the fifth.
According to sources, we know that 6.1 will have some features added:
1. Ability to request movie tickets with Siri.
2. iCloud security enhancements.
3. The integration of third-party apps with Apple Maps application.
When iOS 6.1 is finally released it will be compatible with the following devices:
1. iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, and 5
2. iPad 2, 3, 4th generation and iPad mini
3. iPod Touch 4 and 5
As of this time, there is no untethered jailbreak for 6.0.1 even though a failbreak had been shown off still, still we are hopeful that this needed jailbreak becomes available soon even for the iOS 6.1 which have been said to be more secured.
